Health Science- Nursing
ATA’s Health Science/Nursing Program utilizes world-class, state-of-the-art equipment, such as our hi-tech mannequin, for hands-on skills training. Students can earn certifications in CPR, OSHA and even become Certified Nurse Assistants. They will also intern at a local hospital. After completion of this program and passage of exams, students may choose to enter the workforce as a CNA directly after high school but are also prepared to enroll in a college-level nursing program with the goal of becoming an RN.
Mrs. Heidi Hardee, RN, Instructor
My name is Heidi Hardee and I am one of the Nursing Program major teachers at ATA. I am happily married with 3 children and love spending time with my family and friends. I graduated from Horry-Georgetown Technical College with my ADN in 2002. I have been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years and have past clinical experience in the operating room, labor and delivery, pediatrics, drug rehabilitation services, long-term care, and hospice care. I transitioned to the field of education in 2016 and am currently in my 8th school year of teaching. Education is a huge part of nursing and I have always enjoyed that aspect of it. I am also currently a HOSA advisor for our chapter here at the academy. I love what I do and am so proud to be a part of ATA.
